Are you a Christmas Star or a Christmas Pudding?

Wednesday evening and Thursday morning sessions run as normal on 10th and 11th December, but on the 17th and 18th we will have competitions.
On Wednesday evening there’ll be a chance to be the first winner of our coveted Cowley Table Tennis Star Trophy, open to anyone who’s attended one of the previous sessions this term. Then on Thursday morning, it’s the Christmas Pudding tournament – guess the prize! – open to any over-50s though league standard players may be given a handicap.
Play will be in groups, with a “Plate” competition for those who don’t make it through the groups, so there’ll be plenty of table tennis for everyone. Should be a lot of fun.

Table-Tennis Thursdays in Cowley

Come and join us as we try to get regular table-tennis sessions in Cowley.

Table-tennis is a fantastic, safe, cheap sport, simple for beginners to take up, yet demanding high levels of skill and fitness for those who play seriously.

Temple Cowley United Reformed Church will be hosting sessions between 18th Sept and 16th Oct which are:

  • Somewhere for people who loved playing Ping! through the summer to carry on playing
  • An opportunity for beginners to try out our sport
  • A venue for training and competitions for improvers and experienced players, including players from the Oxford & District Table-Tennis league

If the demand is there, we can add sessions, including coaching, and programmes for young people.
